Western Food for my family tonite! =D
Oh well... i cooked for dinner last night =) tee hee.. so I'll just post a few pics of them.. I just hope you guys won't be hunting for food ater looking at them =p heehe..
1)This is a seafood pizza!! Actually making pizza is easy.. it's just that to make the dough is quite time consuming.. preferably make it in advance, keep in the fridge(or freezer if u wanna keep for long) and use them when u want to! =) The toppings are tuna, calamari, crabstick, prawns, red n green capsicum, onions and olives! =D and of course, mozarella cheese! =p have fun making them! tee hee..
2) I know, it just looks yellow =p i should've decorated it a bit to make it seem more yummy =p It's Pumpkin Dory Fish Soup! =p owh, well.. in the recipe book, they use 1 type of fish which I've never heard of.. and instead i just used whatever i found in the fridge =p lol.. erm..actually i just cut the fish into small pieces and let them drown in a sea of pumpkins! =p so..it's not really visible here as they are drown! help! hehe =p
3) The one on ur right here is erm.. salad lah =p haha... if u take a close look at this pic, u can see there's some melted cheese on top of the salad..hehe.. nyummy! and the yellow sauce thingy beside the salad is the dressing =) well, i made the simplest and easiest dressing--> extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice and a pinch of salt! =)
That's all my rambling about yummy-licious food tonite =) hope u are inspired to cook as well =) it's much more cheaper cooking at home and much more healthier too! =D and if u're interested in cooking, go to channel 703 on Astro (it's called AFC channel). i always feel like cooking when i see those chefs cook =p
Hey Nana this is very interesting, I like the sound of your new blog =D Haih sayang baru dapat tahu, lama dah blog ni rupanya @.@
ReplyDeleteI've never known the difference between olive oil and other types of oil actually. I mean, I know the former is supposedly more healthy, but I don't understand why people use olive oil to drizzle on their food a lot - makes a difference in taste ke? @.@
But hehe this is interesting =D You should start a recipe blog or something, Im sedang merajin2 memasak as well nih pasal dah duduk sendiri. Semalam masak salmon steak and sumbat2 dengan all sorts of herbs that I can find. Last2 tak rasa pape sangat haha!
Hey atiff! =) yay!! i tend to put more piccies in my new blog, seems more interesting since im not really good describing things =p lol..
ReplyDeleteerm..i think olive oil has its own olive-ish taste .waaa... i dunno how to describe =( but if u try to taste some other oil, they don't really have taste sgt..it's like tawar je.. and they drizzle it over their food bcos of its olive-ish taste and also to make it a bit moist(some food tend to be abit dry after u grill or put it in oven etc..) hehe..thats what i think la=p sorry if i was crapping!! =p
owh, and i think herbs kan, if u just focus on 1 type of herb, the taste will be better, cos to find tasty combination of herbs is quite difficult kot, cos last time i tried cooking using all the herbs i could find, saje2 je.. =p in the end i coudnt tell what taste it was..and it tasted weird. =p hehe..like chicken, maybe in ur place rosemary is kinda easy to find, rosemary is kinda good for chicken, and for salmon, maybe dill =p hehe.. yay yay!! i dunno why im so excited talking about food =p no wonder i gained weight >.< waaa...
owh, oops! did u mean why they drizzle olive oil over their fod before they cook it? mayb cos macam even if u wanna grill the fish or anythingkan, u need a bit of oil, takut it will get dry or burn =p hehehehe... waaa....i am making myself even more confused =p lol
